I picked up my old abandoned cell, inserted the tiny magic card hoping it would get the world at my reach. It had rested in my cupboard for years now, without having to prove its worth to anyone. No one touched it, as it was mine.Looking at the keys that reminded me of the good old days,I pressed the button that mattered. To my surprise,it did glow!Brighter than it ever had.Not before half an hour had passed,I was at ease with it.Games,phone-book were the things already explored when my eyes and senses paused at the message icon.“Goodnight”,from a number that was probably the most familiar ten digit numeric sequence of my life. If not today, it surely was some years back. I scrolled down in amazement without letting a moment slip away. When the happiness is huge,we so readily embrace its cause without caring for its superficiality and its probable duration of existence.Hypnotized by the common human psychology,I went with the flow.Instead of reading the conversation backward I began from the first message from that number that the inbox had.“Hey,where have you been.Waited for you whole night."I read this and the day,the past, the long forgotten beautiful past(past is always beautiful,or at least it appears,so I can afford to skip a few adjectives in its description)was right in front of me.It was the day I was on journey and I had been journeying for over fifteen hours. The smile broadened as I proceeded. The conversation included the description of a little girl,(my co-passenger)who held a mirinda bottle as huge as her own size. She was the second cutest girl around, first surely being the one whose messages I was reading.“Had your dinner? When will you reach?”,accompanied with plenty of miss-you messages decorated my inbox. There was love, there was care, there was affection. The intensity of these emotions were such, that even after years, they easily designed their path to my heart. Those kisses staring at me from my inbox took me to the world which relied completely on heavenly fragrance for the existence of its beings.Engulfed by these thoughts,I for once mistook the past to be present!I did not realize that I was wandering into a virtual world until I almost hit the reply button.Mistake was done and it was time to accept the punishment.Mistake of not deleting those messages, mistake of picking up the cell in the first place, mistake of reading those messages, mistake of loving you so deep.Body froze as I woke up back to the present! All my senses trying to blame each other for the crime that was already done.Present was never so bad. It’s the personified beauty of the past that proves it inferior all the time.Gathered strength, selected the messages, deleted them. They once decorated my life, but they never decorated my inbox any more.I pressed the off button and the cell was placed where it initially was.Cell was jinxed, all it could gift to its master were tears.
